A dear friend of mine told me about Humm. When I saw the Ayacucho poncho I loved the styling and particularly the checkerboard pattern. I bought the poncho, the scarf and the wrist warmers all by the same designer, Brandon Mably. It was so easy working with the company and my things arrived with no problem at all. Amanda Ruiz is a delight to work with and I wish her all the best with this company.

I came across Humm at a recent Christmas Fair for Macmillan Cancer Support, and fell in love with the Chequerboard poncho. Just such fun, and also something to keep me warm in the coming winter months. I think it will also come into its own on a cool spring day. I am sure I will live in it! There’s no doubt I will be back to purchase some more of your lovely items.

Then how about this latest one about the black poncho…alpaca and bling? Yes, bring it on!!!!

Hello all at Humm, I have just received my beautiful Sleeved Poncho and wanted to let you all know how delighted I am with it!!! The colour and style is so flattering and since I received it (in record time BTW!!!) I have not taken it off. It is such a flexible garment – I love that you can chuck it on to do the school run, or glam it up with a belt and some bling!! I love mine so much, I have just ordered one for a friend’s belated Christmas and Birthday present! Thank you all – and no doubt I will be in touch again xxx

This is now my second Colca cardigan from HUMM and I am really thrilled with them. The colour is fantastic, the cardi is very useful and I may well come bback and get another one in a new colour! And the HUMM knit is not as thick and chunky as I thought it was when I first saw it in the brochure – it is lightweight, lovely and soft and warm!

Like everything HUMM sells, the scarf is a delight. I like soft scarves and usually buy cashmere but this alpaca is as soft as they say and rather trendy as well…

Wow! This weather is f-f-freezing, as I type I have to confess I am wearing my HUMM Alpaca fingerless mittens as even the central heating isn’t warming up my extremities….but the real reason for today’s post is this:

I am freezing and have just donned our best selling item, the HUMM Alpaca Poncho.

You may have seen adverts for those strange things like a blanket that you can watch the telly in and it has arm holes – what are they called..? Snuggies or something. Well do you fancy doing the school run in a Snuggie? No is my answer but I sure need to warm up today and as you can tell the heating isn’t really doing it for me.

As I work in the office I really do need something like a blanket but something that looks rather more elegant as well as being functional, hence why I threw on the sleeved poncho, which is the next best thing and in fact I am now calling it my ‘walking blanket’.

The best thing of all is that you can put a thick jumper on underneath so you can do that all important layering Dr Sarah Jarvis was recommending the other day on the BBC.

The HUMM Alpaca Sleeved ponchos are £170, and are a true wardrobe investment as I have had mine now for 3 years and can count not ONE bobble on it. Now that’s what you call value for money.

Well actually that is one of the winning shots from our Latin Fusion Fashion Show held on Nov 6th – Eddy (Colchester’s premier salsa teacher) and Manuel did a great salsa routine where the snoods took centre stage too!
